Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione
Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo struck gold with the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione concept at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show. Since then, the company has released a limited series of the car, with a few small changes from the original concept. The 8C Competizione is a hat tip to classic Alfas from the 30s and 40s, with a smooth aerodynamic shape and luxury interior: a car that retains the sleek elegance of the retro models but is equipped with the latest hi-tech engine. The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione looks and feels like a true Italian sports car. It looks aggressive and it can act aggressive as well. The Competizione manages to glide down the highway with the speed of lightning without the usual wings and spoilers that hitch up speed levels but can sometimes deter from the car's design. The distinctive shape of the long bonnet and short tail will make sure that you never forget the Competizione once you’ve see it, and the aerodynamic undertray will make driving feel like an F1 race. The six-speed sequential gearbox is mounted at the rear, mimicking the retro Alfa models from the past. The 8C sports a light carbon form body molded into a shape that is both muscular and classy. The manufacturers have paid just as much attention to the car’s interior as to the exterior. In the accustomed Alfa fashion, the car's are pure luxury. You’ll find yourself surrounded with smooth leather lined with carbon shell. Alfa Romeo obviously spared no expense on the Competizione, and although this is their most expensive model so far, it is possibly also the most successful. Advertisement
