Nissan GT-R

The Nissan GT-R is one of those sports cars
that, despite having been released a few years ago, just get better and
better with each new series release. The GT-R was a smash hit at the 2007
Tokyo Motor Show, but it was only released in the rest of the world a
few years later.
The Nissan GT-R is powered by a 3.8 liter twin-turbo V6 engine, good for
480 horsepower and 434 ft-lb of torque, just like its predecessor, the
Nissan Skyline GT-R. Forced induction is provided by two parallel IHI
turbochargers. The car can jump from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, and it
can reach a maximum speed of 192 mph.
The GT-R’s body is a combination of steel, carbon fiber and die-cast
aluminum, with a decent enough drag coefficient of 0.37. The GT-R sports
the so-called Premium Midship chassis with a 53/47 weight distribution.
To this mix add all the hi-tech instruments that you can imagine, such
as an electronically adjustable suspension, leather upholstery, power
front seats, aluminum-trimmed pedals, a leather-wrapped steering wheel
and shift knob, Bluetooth, keyless entry/start and some others.
The GT-R is quite a powerful car, no surprise that it has been nicknamed
Godzilla. The latest version of the car has hit the streets in 2009, and
Nissan is already thinking of releasing a powered up version. Car enthusiasts
are quite pleased with the current model, though. The GT-R is described
as graceful yet strong, and surprisingly easy to drive even when close
to its limit. The suspensions might be a bit stiff, but with some fiddling
you can get over the fact the road imperfections might feel a bit awkward.
The price for this model is around 60.000 euros.
